The film presents the biological peculiarities of the rose, explains why it is capable of producing such a vast variety of cultivars, and shows how the composition of rose fragrance affects animals and humans. It also explores why some white garden roses develop red spots when it rains, and why the red spider mite is particularly fond of "bikini roses."
