The body of a young woman is found on the riverbank. You can clearly see that she has recently given birth. Elderly aspirant Zawieja and her police partner Trepa begin an investigation.

A police investigation is underway, new threads and clues are emerging. The police are checking what connection with the case may be of debts and business complications of Kosinski, the husband of the murdered woman.

Searching for new clues, Zawieja and Trepa go to the psychiatric hospital where the murdered woman worked.

The police start looking for Wróbel, one of the murdered patients. Zawieja goes to the prison in Goleniów, where Wróbel was serving his sentence. She hopes to find more information there that will lead her to new leads in the case.

The interrogation of one of the Goleniów prisoners points to new leads and raises further suspicions. Zawieja is getting more desperate and loses herself in the investigation.

Going against the rules, prosecutor Strzelecki takes over the case. Zawieja does not give up and, despite the his superior's orders, decides to follow in his footsteps.
