Young Hoon is sentenced to life in prison for robbery and murder after trying to pay for his sick wife’s hospital fee. He enters the correctional facility leaving behind a baby girl that he wishes will never know who he is. His brother, Dong Chul, takes on the responsibility and vows to take care of her as Young Hoon had done for him. Dong Chul’s wife, So Yang Ja, protests against raising a child that is not hers but ends up unwillingly going along with it. Young Hoon walks out after serving 27 years and tells his brother to forget he exists.

All grown up at the age of 27, Do Ran works hard at her part-time job to save tuition money for law school. Over at Wang Dae Ryook’s house, the whole family gets together to celebrate grandma’s birthday. Mi Ran, Do Ran’s sister, fails her exam to become an announcer and blames it on not studying English properly. Meanwhile, Yong Hoon, Do Ran’s biological father, sees his beautiful daughter from a distance for the first time.

Wang Dae Ryook and Kim Do Ran meet for the first time, and Kim Mi Ran gets drunk because she doesn't have the money to study abroad. Do Ran offers the money she had saved from working part-time for law school to help Mi Ran, but her father refuses it. Oh Eun Young is criticized by her mother-in-law, Park Geum Byung, for acting flirtatiously with her husband, and later, she demands an apology. Meanwhile, Kim Young Hoon changes his name to Kang Soo Il and helps out at a local Catholic orphanage.

An officer comes to ask Dong Chul if he knows the whereabouts of Young Hoon and even asks if he knows anything about his daughter. Worried that Do Ran might find out about Young Hoon, her biological father, Dong Chul tells Do Ran to study overseas. Overhearing the conversation with Do Ran, Yang Ja is infuriated and yells out the truth, letting Do Ran know that she was an adopted child. While looking for Do Ran on his scooter, Dong Chul is hit by a car and taken to the hospital.

Crushed and devastated at the death of her husband, So Yang Ja blames Do Ran for everything and kicks her out of the house. So Ran is speechless and has no choice but to leave after seeing the negative paternity test results with her father, Dong Chul. Meanwhile, the driver of Madam Park’s household resigns to go to Canada, leaving his position open.

Madam Park hires Kang Soo Il as her personal driver at the recommendation of Father Kim and introduces him to the family. Do Ran is thrilled about passing the written exam for a full-time job at Bom and Food and prepares for the interview. Meanwhile, Wang Yi Rook goes to Jang Da Ya’s house to win her heart back but is rejected again.

Yi Rook and Da Ya announce their engagement to their families. Everyone approves of their decision except for Yi Rook’s mom that puts both Da Ya and her mom feeling uneasy. Do Ran goes to her job interview and sees Dae Ryook in the men’s room and mistakenly accuses him of being in the women’s restroom and calls him a pervert. A minute later, she finds out she was the one the men’s room and runs away embarrassed. Meanwhile, Soo Il decides to visit Dong Chul but changes his mind at the door.

Eun Young is not at all thrilled to hear about Yi Ryook and Da Ya’s engagement. While meeting up with her friends, she tells them she opposes the marriage because of what happened to Hong Shil’s husband. One of her friends tells Hong Shil what Eun Young had said that devastates her causing her to end her relationship with Eun Young. Meanwhile, Soo Il goes to the fish market and runs into his daughter, Do Ran. Later, Soo Il goes to visit Dong Chul and finds out about his death.

Madam Park’s dementia gets worse, and she confuses Do Ran with her lost sister, Myeong Hee. She holds on to Do Ran’s arm until the police officers show up. Unfortunately, Do Ran misses her interview and loses her chance at a full-time position with a company. Later, ignoring all fault to Madam Park, Do Ran still takes Madam Park home with her until the police officers track down her family.

The old lady with dementia that Do Ran helped out turns out to be the mother of Bom and Foods’ CEO. Wang Jin Gook, the CEO, finds out Do Ran was the girl who helped his mother and that she had missed her interview because of it. He immediately calls her in and offers her a position in the secretary office. Do Ran eagerly accepts his offer and shows up excitedly the next day to work until she runs into Wang Dae Ryook when things get awkward.

Madam Park returns home safely with Do Ran by her side. Soo Il recognizes Do Ran as she walks past and is lost for words. He can’t fathom why Do Ran, his daughter, would be here at Madam Park’s house. With all matters aside, Soo Il is grateful that Do Ran is doing well and drives her home safely. Meanwhile, Chairman Wang and his wife, Eun Young, argue over his moth condition and her hostility towards her.

Madam Park invites Do Ran over to her house to personally thank her for taking care of her in her lost state. Soo Il drives Do Ran back to her house and starts to get close to her. Later, Soo Il realizes that being close to his daughter may jeopardize her well-being and decides to resign working for Madam Park. Meanwhile, Eun Young and Hong Shil reconcile and approve of Da Ya and Yi Rook’s marriage.

On top of having her wedding arrangements possibly cancelled, Da Ya overhears her mother and Eun Young talking about her late father and finds out that he was murdered. Soo Il goes to see Do Ran on an errand for Madam Park and has a bowl of noodles with her. Later, Do Ran goes to see her friend and meets with her grandmother who suspects her to be the Do Ran she once knew.

After being pranked by her director, Wang Dae Ryook, Do Ran keeps their relationship strictly business. However, for Da Ryook, he continues to tease and play games with her. Eun Young finds out where Yi Ryook was hiding and tells him that Da Ya had fainted. Meanwhile, Yang Ja deals with the debt collectors knocking on her door.

Da Ya freaks out when she sees Soo Il with his mask and hat on in the garden mistaking him as her father's murderer. Dae Ryook catches Do Ran as she falls catching the bouquet by accident at Yi Ryook and Da Ya wedding. Later, Dae Ryook starts to question himself if he has a thing for Do Ran.

Soo Il saves Madam Park from getting hit by a car as she wanders away from the wedding. The family worries deeply for her but decides to keep these incidents from her to keep her calm. Dae Ryook thinks of Do Ran and then decides he should keep his distance from her. Meanwhile, Yang Ja and Mi Ran continue to be on the run from the debt collectors.

Soo Il arrives just in time to stop the debt collectors from harassing Do Ran. Worried about what might have happened to her mother and sister, Do Ran goes to check up on them. Meanwhile, Soo Il desperately tries to find a way to repay the loan.

Soo Il repays Yang Ja's debt and makes sure Do Ran is safe. However, Yang Ja, still broke without a place to stay, struggles to keep a part-time job. When she hears that Do Ran is working at Bom and Food, she rushes over to her house and claims to be her mother. Meanwhile, Dae Ryook and Da Ya return from their honeymoon.

Do Ran is heartbroken and doesn't know what to with her so-called mom and sister who have taken over her house. Madam Park's household gets busier with the addition of Da Ya to the family, and Dae Ryook still ponders if he has a thing for Do Ran. Meanwhile, Hong Shil tries to set up a blind date for Hong Joo, but Hong Joo runs away.

Madam Park has another dementia breakdown and attacks Yang Ja with a bucket of ice. Once again, Do Ran goes to soothe Madam Park in the middle of the night. Yang Ja can't take any more of her mother-in-law's breakdowns and gives her husband an ultimatum. Meanwhile, Da Ya worries that without Yang Ja, she will have to take care of Madam Park and Chairman Wang.

Desperate and without any other options, Eun Young asks Do Ran if she can live at her house as her mother-in-law's sister, Myeong Hee. Soo Il unexpectedly runs into the lady who had taken in Do Ran when he went to jail, and he tells her he wants nothing to do with Do Ran's life. Meanwhile, Dae Ryook goes on a date with Soo Hyun.

After giving it some thought, Do Ran agrees to help Eun Young with Madam Park but declines to live at the house. Later, Madam Park has another episode, and Do Ran is called to come to the rescue. Meanwhile, Da Ryook breaks up with Soo Hyun and starts to think about Do Ran.

Dae Ryook keeps eyeing Do Ran and tries to drive her to work, but Do Ran finds it awkward and declines. Later, Madam Park asks Do Ran out so she can thank her for staying the night but then relapses and ends up taking her to an amusement park. Meanwhile, Da Ya get more and more upset with Do Ran being in the spotlight instead of her.

When Soo Il drives Do Ran home from staying the night at the house, Yang Ja mistakenly sees Soo Il as Do Ran's boyfriend and attacks him. Soo Hyun goes to Bom and Food to ask Dae Ryook why he had dumped her, and Soo Il saves Hong Joo from a near fall. Meanwhile, Soo Il notices that Dae Ryook's interest in Do Ran.

Dae Ryook tells Do Ran how he feels about her, but it only makes Do Ran uncomfortable. After overhearing Dae Ryook's profession, Soo Il starts to worry if Dae Ryook's feelings are genuine and then asks him about his girlfriend, Soo Hyun. Meanwhile, Yang Ja and Mi Ran look for a part-time job.

Not being able to make any progress with Do Ran, Dae Ryook asks Soo Il for his help. Do Ran finds out her new product proposal was selected and buys gifts for the people around her with the prize money. Later, Chairman Wang walks in on Do Ran and Da Ya's confrontation, and Hong Joo can't stop thinking about Soo Il.

After finding out how Da Ya treated Do Ran at the house, Dae Ryook runs to console Do Ran. Chairman Wang tells Da Ya to go and apologize to Do Ran, and Hong Shil tells Eun Young to find the newlyweds another place to live. Meanwhile, Hong Shil gives Da Ya the diamond necklace Madam Park cherishes to make her feel better.

Mi Ran sees Go Rae at her PC cafe part-time job and ends up paying for his time. Hong Shil goes to the Cathedral to wish Freddie, her late husband, happy birthday and coincidentally sees Soo Il baking bread for the orphans. Meanwhile, Madam Park turns into her young self again and is furious when she notices Da Ya wearing her precious diamond necklace.

When Yi Ryook tells Soo Il his manners makes him come off as Do Ran's father, Soo Il considers playing it safe. Da Ya can't stop crying and begs her mother and Eun Young to find another caretaker for Madam Park. Meanwhile, Do Ran, Dae Ryook, and Secretary Hong taste the bulgogi for their new menu item.

Hong Shil finds a caretaker for Madam Park and introduces her to Eun Young. Dae Ryook blackmails Do Ran to go on a date with him. Meanwhile, Madam Park relapses and throws a fit after the nurse tries to give her sleeping pills.

After seeing Do Ran end her date with Dae Ryook, Soo Il starts to worry about Do Ran's future and happiness. Jin Gook is furious with his wife, Eun Young, for hiring a caretaker, and he demands her to bring Do Ran back. Meanwhile, Na Hong Shil decides to volunteer at the Cathedral and begins to bake bread with So Il.

Eun Young and Da Ya beg Do Ran to come back and look after Madam Park, but Do Ran refuses. But when Madam Park relapses, Jin Gook calls Do Ran. Upon hearing her crying voice, Do Ran rushes over to Madam Park's aid. Meanwhile, Go Rae rescues Mi Ran, who was drinking alone, from a determined drunk man.

Do Ran falls on the slope trying to help Geum Byung and lost consciousness. Dae Ryook runs with her on his back to take her to a hospital. Young Hoon is moved to see Dae Ryook desperately trying to save Do Ran. Meanwhile, Hong Joo tells Young Hoon that she won't be able to participate in the voluntary work anymore as she plans on returning to the States.

As Young Hoon suggested, Dae Ryook decides to offer Do Ran a ride from and to work until her ankle recovers. Young Hoon tells Dae Ryook the ride will make an opportunity for Dae Ryook to get closer to Do Ran, and the men start to make an excuse every day for Young Hoon not being able to give a ride to Do Ran. Meanwhile, Do Ran is very confused with her feelings towards Dae Ryook.

After the kiss, Dae Ryook and Do Ran feel closer toward each other. Hong Joo meets up with Soo Il and gets her phone back. When Hong Shil sees how eager Hong Joo is, she becomes worried and decides to find out more about Soo Il.

Da Ya becomes very upset when she sees how affectionate Madam Park is toward Do Ran. Eun Young is also displeased with Do Ran for the same reason. Even after learning what Soo Il really does for a living, Hong Joo decides to follow her heart.

Dae Ryook wishes to tell people that he and Do Ran are seeing each other, but Do Ran doesn't want to let other people know their relationship for now. But they run into Da Ya who is suspicious of Dae Ryook and Do Ran's relationship. Meanwhile, Hong Shil tells Soo Il to stop seeing her sister Hong Joo, but Soo Il says he's not dating Hong Joo and he's not interested in her.

Da Ya sees Dae Ryook and Do Ran dating and hugging outside of Dae Ryook's house at night. Da Ya tells Eun Young what she just saw through the window. However, Eun Young doesn't believe Da Ya, saying the two are never meant to be. Therefore, Da Ya decides to collect evidence by following them and taking photos of Dae Ryook and Do Ran.

Do Ran's mom and Mi Ran catch Dae Ryook and Do Ran holding hands outside the house. They are shocked to find out that the son of such a wealthy family is into Do Ran. Meanwhile, Dae Ryook's mom is furious by the fact that her son is seeing someone like Do Ran.

Soo Il asks Do Ran to meet so that he can ask her what happened. However, Do Ran is not willing to say anything about it. While Dae Ryook is frustrated with Do Ran, Mi Ran also becomes frustrated when Go Rae doesn't show up at the internet cafe.

After Do Ran resigned from her job, Jin Gook and Eun Young begin the search for a new caretaker for Madam Park. Soo Il visits Dae Ryook who has made the decision to forget Do Ran to let him know there must be other reasons for her actions. However, Dae Ryook responds with the will to get over Do Ran.

Eun Young confesses the relationship between Geum Byung and Dae Ryook after her plans of hiring a new caretaker fails. Geum Byung is appalled to find this out and decides to check herself into a sanatorium. After Soo Il fails to hold her back from her choice, he informs Jin Gook about the ordeal.

Dae Ryook and Do Ran decide to bring Geum Byung back home from the sanatorium after being united again. Afterwards, Dae Ryook communicates his resolute mind to Jin Gook regarding Do Ran and asks for his approval for their marriage. Jin Gook calls for Do Ran at his office and lets her know his consent to accept her into his family.

When Yang Ja hears of Do Ran being approved as a bride of Dae Ryook, she plans to extract living expenses from the future in-laws. She sets up a meeting with Eun Young and tells her that if there is no payment for raising up Do Ran, she will not accept the marriage. Eun Young is stunned to hear this and tells her family about what she heard.

Do Ran overhears Soo Il and Yang Ja's argument in regard to Yang Ja's demands from the would-be in-laws. Do Ran is devastated to discover this and tells Yang Ja that she will not continue with the marriage. However, she eventually returns and assures Yang Ja that she will continue to support both of her family even after marriage.

Dae Ryook's family officially approves Do Ran as the bride. Although Eun Young is distressed with the outcome, Dae Ryook comforts her in the midst of her grief. Do Ran also visits Yang Ja and is encouraged to endure any kind of hardships that she might face in the future with the in-laws. Meanwhile, Do Ran's wedding day approaches.

Do Ran enters the wedding with the help of Soo Il. Hong Shil cries of much pain in the stomach and is unable to attend the wedding. Do Ran’s guests show up at the wedding one by one to congratulate her. Nevertheless, Eun Young is unable to hide her resentment toward Yang Ja even during the ceremony.

Da Ya accidentally comes across the written promise that Geum Byung received from Yang Ja regarding the given childrearing payment. When Eun Young hears of this, she ends up calling Dae Ryook and Do Ran back from their honeymoon. After apologizing to the in-laws for what happened, Do Ran is determined to bring back the money from Yang Ja.

Do Ran visits Yoo Jin’s grandmother to inquire about what she might know regarding her birth father. However, she denies making any comments to Yoo Jin. Geum Byung enjoys the new found friendship she has with Hong Shil while mistaking her as one of her old friends. Eun Young and Da Ya are startled at what they see, but Geum Byung’s recurring call for Myung Hee reminds them of the continuing need for Do Ran’s presence.

Mi Ra is having dinner with a wealthy man, but he tries to hold her for something more impure. Go Rae steps in to rescue her. Ms. Cho accidentally finds a photo of a girl and asks Soo Il if he had a daughter. Soo Il reacts with anger, yelling at her to leave. Yang Ja’s sister, Yang Soon, visits her on a late evening.

Yoo Jin’s grandmother tells Do Ran that her birth father is alive, and tells her that he was at Do Ran’s wedding as well. Do Ran comes to know that Mr. Kang is her birth father and to confirm it, she takes a genetic test. Meanwhile, Hong Shil thinks her son, Go Rae, is not straight after seeing him with his close friend.

Mi Ran can’t stop thinking about Go Rae and asks him out. Without knowing Go Rae and Mi Ran’s relationship, Yang Ja plans to have Go Rae as her daughter, Mi Ran’s boyfriend. Meanwhile, Mr. Kang senses something strange about Do Ran’s questions regarding his daughter and follows her to the hospital.

Do Ran visits Geum Ok at the hospital to say thanks for telling her who her birth father is before surgery. Soo Il is stunned to see them together. He asks Geum Ok about how much has been said regarding his identity after Do Ran leaves. Realising that Do Ran is aware, he decides to leave once again in order to protect her. Geum Ok then calls Do Ran, informing her of the situation.

Eun Young demands Do Ran to quit her job and stay at home at all times in order to be ready for Geum Byung’s relapse. However, Dae Ryook and Jin Gook are against the decision saying that Do Ran is needed at the company. Eun Young, resentful at how things are progressing, decides to send Ms. Yeoju back home on a holiday leave in order to increase Do Ran’s involvement with housework.

Geum Byung overhears Do Ran calling Soo Il her dad but the truth is kept as Geum Byung is in her dementia. With the help of Soo Il and Geum Byung, Do Ran is able to prepare the dumplings demanded by Eun Young. During the process, Do Ran suffers a burn on her arm which leads to Geum Byung discovering the task to be an unfair request by Eun Young. Eun Young ends up being scolded by Geum Byung and Jin Gook also is unable to hide his disappointment towards her.

Jin Gook expresses his concerns to his family as he learns of Do Ran’s resignation from the company to concentrate on house affairs. He asks for additional support for Do Ran from Eun Young and Da Ya. Do Ran is ready to fulfill Eun Young’s expectations as the eldest daughter-in-law. Soo Il then warns her to be more careful and that she shouldn’t risk herself in the future. Yang Ja is taken to the emergency room suffering from the shock of the investment fraud and Do Ran learns of what happened.

After Soo Il becomes aware of Yang Ja’s situation, he resolves to provide her with some of his savings. He gives the money to Do Ran with the request to deliver it to Yang Ja, but Do Ran refuses him. She reluctantly accepts the money after a firm suggestion by Soo Il as her father. While Yang Ja moans of her future in her bed, Do Ran visits her to offer the money.

Go Rae brings Mi Ran over to his house introducing her as his girlfriend asking for Hong Shil’s permission in marrying her. Hong Shil and Hong Joo are bewildered to see Mi Ran and readily agree on the marriage without any discussion. Da Ya expresses her inability to comprehend Hong Shil’s strange behaviours and notices Mi Ran’s familiarity trying to remind herself where she had seen her.

Soo Il notices and rescues Hong Joo from her ex-husband in the middle of the night and Hong Joo is very appreciative of his presence. Do Ran awaits for Soo Il to return in order to inquire about his relationship with Hong Joo and affirms of her full support. On the other hand, Mi Ran invites Do Ran to a cafe in order to notify her of the imminent marriage.

At the dinner where Go Rae and Mi Ran were to be introduced to each other’s families, everyone is astonished to discover that Mi Ran was Do Ran’s sister. Da Ya expresses her disagreement against the marriage, and the rest are unsure of how to react to the situation. After being escorted home by Dae Ryook, Yang Ja apologizes for involving everyone in such a predicament, but Mi Ran storms out of the house unable to calm her disappointment. Do Ran and Dae Ryook are left perplexed but soon Do Ran proceeds in searching for Mi Ran.

At Go Rae and Mi Ran’s wedding, Soo Il notices Hong Joo’s pale complexion and provides her with a medicine. Hong Joo confesses her worries of the marriage wondering if it had been the best decision for both of them. Soo Il advises her that they must be congratulated and respected for their decision as they look happy together. Yang Ja is reminded of Dong Chul during the marriage ceremony and wishes the best for the couple.

Da Ya notices Do Ran visiting Soo Il in the middle of the night and wonders about her intent while being reminded of similar occurrence from last time. At Do Ran’s mention of Eun Young’s apology, Soo Il finds relief for her. Eun Young tries to reconciled with Jin Gook with an assurance that she will be treating Do Ran with more appreciation in the future.

Da Ya makes a mistake while preparing dinner for the family to which she hears Eun Young’s complaints. Do Ran steps in to help and console her but she feels dejected regardless. Observing Da Ya's distress, Eun Young recommends Da Ya to move out of the house with Yi Rook, but she disagrees and questions about the unfair treatment she is receiving compared to Do Ran.

Da Ya is astounded to discover Do Ran calling Soo Il her dad while listening to the black box recordings in secret. While puzzled, she is unable to discern their relationship as Do Ran had mentioned that her birth parents have passed away. Meanwhile, Do Ran calls and asks Soo Il to meet her in order to inquire about his departure while Dae Ryook is asleep.

Da Ya receives the DNA test result that confirms the family relation of Soo Il and Do Ran. She is concerned about to whom the matter should be revealed and resolves that it would be wise to disclose the result to Jin Gook who has the highest authority in the family. Once Da Ya hands Jin Gook the results, he is astonished to learn of the discovery.

Mr. Kang leaves the house and Geum Byung goes on a hunger strike, looking for Mr. Kang. Worried about her father, Do Ran keeps contacting and visiting him while Dae Ryook cannot stop himself from suspecting Do Ran. Meanwhile, Mi Ran runs away from home after having an argument with Go Rae.

Do Ran tells Dae Ryook about Mr. Kang as she could not stop deceiving him. Dae Ryook asks his dad to forgive both Do Ran and Mr. Kang. Meanwhile, as no one can stop Geum Byung from the hunger strike, Do Ran visits Mr. Kang with Geum Byung, and Da Ya asks her mother-in-law, Eun Young, to have a talk after seeing Do Ran, Geum Byung, and Mr. Kang together.

Eun Young gets furious after hearing Do Ran and Mr. Kang’s story from Da Ya, and kicks Do Ran out of the house. Do Ran hurriedly leaves the house with nothing on her hands, and collapses in the street. Mr. Kang visits Eun Young and asks for her forgiveness, saying that Do Ran did nothing wrong and should not be blamed.

Since Grandma keeps looking for Do Ran and Mr. Kang, Jin Gook decides to send her over to Mr. Kang’s place. Jin Gook tries to talk to Eun Young regarding this but after realizing that it is almost impossible to change her mind, Jin Gook asks Eun Young to get divorced. Meanwhile, Yang Ja feels sad as Do Ran went to stay at Mr. Kang’s place instead of hers.

Jin Gook asks Eun Young to get a divorce and Da Ya tries to stop them by telling her husband, Yi Ryook, about it. Meanwhile, Madam Park stays at Soo Il’s place with Do Ran. Madam Park hears about Soo Il’s girlfriend, Hong Joo, and gets furious about it.

Da Ya gets angry and tells Do Ran that Mother and Father are fighting and getting divorced because of Do Ran and Mr. Kang. After talking to Da Ya, Do Ran visits her mother-in-law, Eun Young, and tells her that she will get divorced with Dae Ryook. Meanwhile, Hong Shil gets shocked after seeing Go Rae’s friend, Seung Jun’s wife and daughter.

Do Ran and Soo Il run into Dong Won, Soo Il’s friend from the prison. Dong Won tires to help Soo Il by any means, but Soo Il tells Dong Won to keep his past a secret. Meanwhile, Hong Shil faints after coming to know that Go Rae was not gay.

Hong Shil cannot stop herself from ignoring Mi Ran as she is still upset about marrying her son off to Mi Ran because of misunderstanding. Dong Won opens a bakery shop for Soo Il, saying that he has always wanted to pay him back. Meanwhile, Hong Joo finally checks Soo Il’s heart towards her.

People have found out about Hong Joo and Soo Il. Hong Shil and Da Ya are frustrated and disappointed in Hong Joo. After getting nagged by her family, Hong Joo decides to go to Soo Il’s house for the night.

Yang Ja is infuriated after hearing why Hong Shil was so eager to get Go Rae and Mi Ran married. Yang Ja threatens to sue Hong Shil and his son and get her daughter to divorce. Despite Hong Shil’s pride, she must apologize to save her reputation and her son's future.

Soo Il is a kindhearted and caring individual that people love. However, he has spent some time in prison for murder. Do Ran is distraught by the fact her father spent time inside a prison and is trying to confirm if that is true.

Do Ran finds out about her father’s past and decides to stand by his side no matter what. This decision, however, causes her to think about divorce with Dae Ryook to protect his reputation and future. In addition, she plans to leave her house so others won’t be ridiculed because of her.

To show how serious her resolve is, Do Ran leaves her house and refuses to answer calls from Dae Ryook. No matter what her husband and father tell her, she is determined for a divorce. However, her adamant will is causing trouble for others.

Everyone now knows of Do Ran wanting a divorce with Dae Ryook. Everyone, however, has a different view of it. Some want them to divorce for the better, while others want other alternatives. Frustrated by Dae Ryook’s persistent pleadings, Do Ran reveals the real reason why she wants a divorce.

Soo Il has found out the real reason why Do Ran is trying to get a divorce. Devastated by the fact that he is causing his daughter's suffering, he tries to end his life. Do Ran tries to stop her father from leaving her forever.

Do Ran and Dae Ryook meet at the courthouse to file for divorce, but they could not because they still love each other very much. They decide not to get divorced and move back to their house. Although Soo Il pretends to be fine on the surface, he feels guilty for the trouble that he is causing to others.

Eun Young tells Do Ran and Da Ya to respect each other as they keep arguing with each other. After breaking up with Soo Il, Hong Joo decides to move back to the States, and visits Soo Il for the last time. Meanwhile, Da Ya starts learning baking at an academy and meets Tae Pung there.

Hong Joo decides not to leave as she cannot leave Soo Il behind. Do Ran and Geum Byung run into Hong Joo at Soo Il’s place while preparing for a surprise party. Meanwhile, Da Ya’s uncle who knows the truth about Soo Il’s past is back to Korea.

Angry Hong Shil barges into Soo Il’s house and warns Hong Joo that she will cut ties with her from now on. Meanwhile, after hearing about Hong Joo and Soo Il’s news, Eun Young approves Soo Il as her in-law and invites him to dinner. Da Ya meets her uncle and asks him about the murderer of her father’s case.

Hong Joo asks Hong Shil to approve her relationship with Soo Il. After talking to Hong Joo, Hong Shil approves their wedding. Meanwhile, Da Ya receives a call from her uncle and starts looking for the murderer of her father’s case.

Da Ya finds out that the murderer of her father is Soo Il. She goes to Soo Il and Hong Joo’s wedding and tells everyone about Soo Il’s past. Hong Joo leaves Soo Il, and Do Ran and Dae Ryook get divorced. Meanwhile, Mi Ran gets kicked out of the house. On the other hand, Soo Il takes time to get himself together, and Do Ran waits for him at the bakery.

Geum Byung’s dementia gets worse, and the family can’t bear her anymore. They make up their minds and send her to a sanatorium. Dae Ryook misses Do Ran though they got divorced. Mi Ran goes back to the house, but Eun Young wants her to leave too. Soo Il and Do Ran reopen the bakery. Da Ya goes to the bakery and makes a scene.

Da Ya tells people about Soo Il’s past. Dae Ryook appears at the bakery and tells her to stop making a scene. Geum Byung’s condition doesn’t get better though she stays at the sanatorium. So Young sees Dae Ryook at a bar and finds out that he got divorced. Hong Joo gets sick, and Father Kim calls Soo Il. Meanwhile, Do Ran finds scribbles on the bakery wall.

Do Ran and Tae Pung are attacked by the local residents, and Tae Pung gets hurt. The residents argue that Do Ran and her father should leave the neighborhood. Meanwhile, Hong Shil witnesses Go Rae having a meal with Mi Ran. She gets furious and tells that the two should divorce. Go Rae decides to go against Hong Shil and runs away from home.

Soo Il runs into the man who was the witness of his murder case. The man denies the past and leaves. Hong Shil thinks that Hong Joo is living with Soo Il. She goes to the bakery and makes a scene. Eun Young tells Hong Joo to apologise to Hong Shil. Meanwhile, Dae Ryook comes to Soo Il’s place.

Yang Ja tells Mi Ran to have a baby to get back home. Geum Byung asks for Myeong Hee again, and Jin Gook tells her that she died years ago. Soo Il comes across Hong Joo at the church. Do Ran goes to the sanatorium to see Geum Byung and runs into Dae Ryook. Meanwhile, Jin Gook calls Do Ran.

Since Madam Park keeps refusing to eat and looking for Myeong Hee, Jin Gook visits Do Ran and asks for her help. To help Madam Park, Do Ran asks her father if she could visit Dae Ryook’s place, and visits Madam Park in order to comfort her. Meanwhile, Go Rae collapses in the street after meeting with Soo Il.

Madam Park runs away from the sanatorium and goes to Soo Il’s place in order to stay with Do Ran. Jin Gook asks Do Ran to look after Madam Park since she only looks for Myeong Hee. Meanwhile, Go Rae feels something wrong with his body and takes a health check.

Jin Gook tells the family that Do Ran will take care of Geum Byung no matter what. Da Ya is disappointed with his decision but decides to understand him. Dae Ryook asks Do Ran to get back together, but she rejects and tells him not to come and see her. Meanwhile, Go Rae gets an unexpected result from his medical checkup.

Eun Young and Da Ya invite So Young to the house for lunch with Dae Ryook. Geum Byung makes a scene, and Do Ran comes to calm her down. Go Rae asks Mi Ran for a divorce because he is only given a few months to live. Hong Shil finds out about Go Rae’s condition and asks around for a transplant. Meanwhile, Soo Il hears about Go Rae’s condition.

Soo Il tells Hong Shil that his liver matches Go Rae's liver and that he would like to help Go Rae. However, Hong Shil rejects Soo Il's offer at first but after realizing that there isn't much time left for Go Rae, she decides to visit Soo Il and asks for help.

Hong Shil tries her best to hide the fact that Soo Il is the donor, but Go Rae comes to know the truth after overhearing Hong Shil, Da Ya, and Mi Ran's conversation. Meanwhile, Soo Il registers the marriage with Hong Joo in order to save Go Rae.

In order to make Go Rae feel comfortable, everyone promises to keep quiet about Soo Il's state. Do Ran insists that she stays at the hospital, which makes Dae Ryook run over to her and stay by her side all night.

People at the hospital find out that Soo Il is a murderer and demand Do Ran to move to a different hospital. It makes Do Ran want to give up on everything. Meanwhile, Dae Ryook looks into the details of Soo Il's case from 30 years ago, and he finds something strange about it.

Dae Ryook tells Do Ran that her father might not have been the murderer. Together, they go and look for the eyewitness and hope to hear a different story. But when they find him, he says he saw her father, Kim Young Hoon, kill the man. Meanwhile, when Dae Ryook doesn't pick up his phone, Eun Young suspects Do Ran to be with him and storms over to the hospital.

When Chairman Wang and Eun Young arrive at the hospital, Soo Il tells them to take Madam Park with them and not to call Do Ran ever again. Hong Joo tells Soo Il that she is pregnant with his child, but Soo Il tells her to forget about him. Meanwhile, Dae Ryook receives a call from Young Dal, the eyewitness in Soo Il's murder case, and then anxiously calls Do Ran.

Do Ran finds Soo Il at the bus terminal and tells him about the real culprit turning himself in. Hong Shil and her family apologise to Soo Il, and Soo Il gets back with Hong Joo. Yang Ja tells Soo Il to register Do Ran as his daughter since his records got cleared. Meanwhile, Dae Ryook tells the family that he will get back with Do Ran.

Do Ran and Tae Pung get closer and spend time together. Dae Ryook asks Do Ran to come back to him, but Do Ran refuses since they went through so much already. Geum Byung calls for Do Ran again, and Jin Gook meets Soo Il to discuss Do Ran and Dae Ryook. Meanwhile, Tae Pung’s grandfather comes to the bakery.

Tae Pung turns out to be the grandson of Chairman Song, and Dae Ryook notices that he has feelings for Do Ran. Meanwhile, Dae Ryook gets drunk and hospitalized after seeing Do Ran go on a date with Tae Pung. Eun Young goes to Do Ran's place and hope she would go see Dae Ryook, but Soo Il rejects.

Dae Ryook decides to resign from the company and leave Korea for a while because of all those happenings. Eun Young and Da Ya are worried about him and want to stop him from leaving. Meanwhile, Do Ran can't get over Dae Ryook and turn Tae Pung down.
