Grady somehow believes it, but his family is skeptical. That night, hoping he does not catch the ""Fever Swamp"", Grady goes downstairs to lock the basement door, but he is attacked by an animal. Is it the werewolf?

When Grady's family moves out of the city and into a rickety old house in Fever Swamp, both he and his sister Emily find a lot to complain about: they have no friends, no neighbors and nothing to do.
