Host Angela Groothuizen travels with a group of 10 ordinary Dutch people to Australia. The contestants are Arnoud, Deborah, Foke, John, Petra, Robin, Sandy, Warner, Willy and Wilmie. In the first episode the contestants complete a 25 km off‑road jeep route, take part in a diving game where they must surface words to form a sentence, and learn to play the didgeridoo.

In the second episode the contestants organize a Dutch party for at least one hundred Australians, answer questions under pressure, and raft down a wild river.

In the third episode the contestants try to survive 24 hours on an uninhabited island, face a challenge featuring typically Australian dishes, and take part in a bungee-jump task at Smithfield Heights.

In the fourth episode, the contestants visit a Pac-Man maze with hunters at night, try to photograph whales, and compete against local sports champions.

In the fifth episode, four contestants must reach a flagpole on the beach of Fraser Island while hunters try to catch them. After spending a night at a self-selected sleeping spot, the candidates face heavy individual challenges, in which one contestant can sacrifice themselves to make things easier for the rest.

In the sixth episode, the contestants have to hitchhike to Byron Bay and film Australian truck drivers during their trip. One contestant gets the chance to earn an exemption by disguising themselves, while the other contestants complete the Byron Bay round: biking, running, kayaking, and climbing a mountain.

In the seventh episode, contestants must surf in the surf, rehearse a trapeze act, teach Australian hippies the song 'Beestjes,' and distinguish a valuable bracelet from a fake one.

Episode 8; the finale of the first season! The finalists play a quiz about the eliminated contestants and travel through Sydney by ferry to discover their final location. There, they complete their last challenge...

In the final episode, all contestants and the Mole look back at the entire season and all the tricks played by the Mole. You also see how viewers could have known who the Mole was.
