Lee Jae Sang defends the third generation of some conglomerate on a sexual harassment case. La Si On and her team thought the defendant would be punished for what he has done. But things get weird as Lee Jae Sang brings a witness into the courtroom. And the trial result reminds them how they first met.

A man came to Si On for help. Si On realizes it has to do with Hongwoo Group and confront Jae Sang. Si On asks for Jae Sang's help to find the missing secretary. Together, the two search for the missing person. At the end of the search, they find a shocking scene.

Jae Sang woke up in the parallel world and meets his wife and daughter! He tries to get a grip of what's happening to him and Si On thinks her husband is acting weird. He realizes Seo Young Ju is still alive in this world and decides to correct his mistakes.

Jae Sang puts Madam Shin into Jail, but he still cannot find where Seo Young Ju went. While he tries to find her, he finds something he didn't know before he fell into the parallel world. Jae Sang and Si On follow the clues and finally finds where the employees of Hongwoo Security kept Seo Young Ju.

Jae Sang finds out that he was threatened by Hongwoo Group in the parallel world as well. He concludes that he and his real self in the two different worlds are related. Meanwhile, Jae Sang and his team members start to look into a new case where a blind man’s daughter has gone missing.

Jae Sang and his team members continuously work on finding Noh Yeong Mi. Jae Sang learns what Noh Yeong Mi had to go through and how much she had to suffer because of her family’s debt before going missing. Meanwhile, Si On has a nightmare where her head was bleeding.

Jae Sang’s team brings in Jo Ae Suk as a prime suspect of the Noh Yeong Mi case for an interrogation. She is accompanied by the defense counsel from Yulgaek Law Firm to the station. And Jae Sang who is well aware of Yulgaek’s protocol comes up with a countermeasure.

The truth behind Noh Yeong Mi’s death is revealed. Jae Sang’s team finds out that Jo Ae Suk, those loan sharks, and even Pastor Park are all involved with Sonamu Welfare Foundation. Also, they find out how Jang Do Sik could receive a nomination for the election for mayor.

Jae Sang finds out that the hairpin is a present for Si On’s niece, Se Rin, who died several years ago. He also learns that Si On’s brother, Su Ho, was framed for killing his own daughter and died. Meanwhile, those who are involved in the illegal organ trading case are found dead.

Yun Pil Woo, CEO of a world-renowned bio-pharma company, comes back to the country. He seems to be quite close to Jang Do Sik. Meanwhile, A female orphan is found dead. The method of murder is similar to how the people of Segyeong Orphanage were killed. People say that the killer Ahn Su Ho is back.

Si On is upset with Jae Sang for having decided to quit his job and join Yulgaek Law Firm. Even Oh Seok Jun, Jae Sang’s supervisor, tries to persuade Jae Sang, but he won’t listen. Meanwhile, Jae Sang’s team receives a tip from a witness who saw Jang Do Sik and his thugs taking a woman somewhere.

Si On is questioned by two officers from Internal Affairs of the police. They say that they’ve found out Ahn Su Ho is Si On’s brother and that Si On should be punished for her involvement in the mass murder case at her brother’s orphanage. Meanwhile, Jae Sang’s team finds concrete evidence about the suspect of Hye Jung’s death.

Jae Sang’s team continues to investigate how and why Ban Ji was killed. They find out that Ms. Yak Ji might be behind the death of Ban Ji and begin to look into Ms. Yak Ji. Meanwhile, Do Sik and Yun Ki blackmail Jae Sang to make him join their company. And Jae Sang faces a choice.

Ms. Yak Ji escapes from the police station and kidnaps Bo Na. She says that she will kill Bo Na. Si On panics and Jae Sang tries to keep calm and locate her. Meanwhile, Dong Taek finds out that the Internal Affairs is going after Jae Sang and that Dong Sik is behind the internal investigation.

Jae Sang keeps thinking that Si On is cheating on him with Dong Taek. He decides to tail Si On and Dong Taek. He finally arrives at the place where the two has entered, and he is surprised. Meanwhile, Pil Woo’s experiment fails again, and that makes Do Sik furious. He heads to Pil Woo’s lab and makes a threat to Pil Woo.

Jae Sang’s team obtains more leads on the whereabouts of Lee Da Som. Jae Sang and Si On visit a theater where Lee Da Som’s boyfriend works, and they find out something shocking about Lee Da Som and Kim Sook Hui. Meanwhile, Do Sik continues to campaign vigorously. He gets upset at a small restaurant in a local marketplace.

Si On is chosen as a righteous police officer and receives an award. Jae Sang gives Bo Na and Si On gifts, and they plan to go hiking. However, in the middle of the night, Si On receives a text message that tells her to come to an old warehouse in a rural area. She gets attacked and collapses.

Jae Sang is back to the real world, but he’s still confused with things happening around him. Meanwhile, Ahn Su Ho’s dead body is found in a mountain. When Si On is devastated to see his brother’s dead body, Jae Sang shows up at the scene. Si On wants to know how Jae Sang knew the body would be found in the mountain.

The prosecution form a special investigations unit, and Si On and Dong Taek start to work for the unit. They hear that someone who is well-aware of the bad guys’ crime patterns will also join the unit. Meanwhile, Do Sik’s wife finds something suspicious in his safe. Will that be able to save her from her miserable marriage life?

Jae Sang moves into Si On’s next door and even invites her to his housewarming party. Also, Jae Sang subpoenaed Do Sik without discussing anyone on his team. Meanwhile, Yun Ki starts to think that Do Sik’s wife is up to something after they run into each other at Do Sik’s office.

Jae Sang offers a deal with Do Sik’s wife who has been abused by Do Sik, but she hesitates to accept it. Do Sik still abuses his wife and son whenever he wants to vent his anger. Meanwhile, Si On gets attacked by a stranger in the middle of the night. Jae Sang takes her to the hospital.

Meanwhile, Do Sik’s wife finds out that her son has been bullying and beating up his schoolmates. She tries to talk to her son about the issue.

Do Sik’s wife agrees to take the evidence out of the safe and hand it over to Jae Sang while Do Sik is in a meeting with the district attorney. Things go smoothly as planned before Do Sik’s wife receives a call from someone. She hears that her son is kidnapped. Will she be able to save her son and give the evidence to Jae Sang?

Jae Sang thinks that Ms. Woo was killed because of him. He visits Ms. Woo’s son and makes a sincere apology. Meanwhile, Jae Sang’s team is widely criticized by the public and their supervisor for having failed to save the victim. Si On also blames Jae Sang for having pushed forward with the wrong strategy.

Jae Sang is given a week to solve the case before he is indicted for abuse of authority. Dong Taek visits Samuel Care Center to meet Yang Hui. Meanwhile, Jae Sang decides to get himself hypnotized to clearly see the face of the culprit who killed Si On in the parallel world.

At the care center, Jae Sang runs into Pil Woo who is humming the song that Yang Hui used to sing. Jae Sang approaches him and talks to him. Meanwhile, Si On receives an award for being the kindest police officer. Jae Sang starts to be anxious because Si On received an award in the parallel world too.

Pil Woo’s underlings abduct and suffocate Jae Sang to death. Then, he has a dream where he meets Bo Na. Si On and Dong Taek are on the way to save Jae Sang. Will they able to save Jae Sang? Meanwhile, Do Sik tries to stop Pil Woo from harming Jae Sang who is an incumbent prosecutor, but Pil Woo won’t listen.

Jae Sang plans to drive a wedge between Do Sik and Pil Woo so that they can hand over each other’s secretive information to Jae Sang. He meets Pil Woo with a voice recording file of Do Sik. Meanwhile, Do Sik tries to win Pil Woo’s henchman over to his side in order to get rid of Pil Woo.

Jae Sang’s team arrests Yun Pil Woo’s underlings and saves Jang Hyeon Joo from the lab in the mountain. Yun Pil Woo is on the run, and Jae Sang makes an appearance on TV news to let the public know about Yun Pil Woo’s true identity. Meanwhile, Si On falls ill and decides to rest at home. Then, Jae Sang visits her place unannounced.

In the morning, Si On opens the front door, but there’s Yun Pil Woo. As soon as Si On sees him, she collapses. When Jae Sang comes to Si On’s house, Yun Pil Woo has already taken her somewhere else. Jae Sang’s team tries to find her. Jae Sang rushes to the abandoned house where Si On was killed in the parallel world.
