New series. Chef Gordon Ramsay tries to set up a bakery in Brixton Prison, hoping to teach inmates professional catering skills that will help them find employment and stay away from crime after they have served their sentences. He begins by picking his first 12 trainees, but is taken aback by how little they know about cookery. In an attempt to get them focused on the task at hand, he challenges them to cook dinner for the whole prison - even though they risk upsetting their fellow inmates if the meals are not up to scratch

Gordon must trust the prisoners with sharp knives if they're to be able to cook on the inside tosell on the outside. He develops a lemon curd treacle tart for production, and for the first time Bad Boys Bakery bread and cakes are flogged to the general public in a pop-up shop. One bad boy, Jerome, has been making it hard for Gordon by verbally abusing prison officers, and has been busted down to basic privileges. The prison's stringent systems and routines start getting to Gordon Serial offender Lawrence loses it in the kitchen and tries to attack another prisoner... Can Gordon salvage the project?

Gordon's Bad Boy Bakery needs to make some real money, so they pitch a sweet treat snack to several major coffee shop chains. But will anyone be interested in a prison-made product? The kitchen brigade is already two men down and facing the challenges from the prison system is beginning to take its toll on Gordon. He has a row with burglar Rene and his local gourmet lunch delivery service doesn't work out as planned. Will his idea of an easy-to-manufacture lemon treacle slice turn things around?

Gordon persuades Caffe Nero to stock the Bad Boys Bakery's lemon curd treacle slice for a 'make or break' showcase week and asks Justice Secretary Ken Clarke for vital financial backing. Gordon's served almost six months in Brixton Prison, but it will mean nothing if he doesn't leave a viable business behind to keep prisoners working and earning. A combination of a branding guru and the prisoners themselves package the lemon curd treacle slice slice for the socially conscious consumer. And Gordon gets the political powers that be down to the Bad Boys Bakery for a spot of lunch.
