Assassin Yun Wei Shan sneaked into the Gong Residence with the purpose of becoming the wife of Gong Hong Yu, the young lord of the Gong's, and obtaining information of the family. On the other side, Gong Zi Yu realized that Wu Feng assigned an assassin in the bride sent in. When Gong Hong Yu found out, he decided to kill all the brides. Gong Zi Yu couldn't bear it, and had a conflict with his father.

Gong Zi Yu decided to rescue the brides by taking them to the secret tunnel. But they were soon caught by Gong Yuan Zhi. Somehow, Zheng Nan Yi was revealed to be a Wufeng assassin and was caught. Gong Zi Yu thought he would be complimented by his father for catching the assassin. But it turned out that Gong Hong Yu already knew Zi Yu's plan.

The Council of Elders decided to start Absent Inheritance instantly, and Gong Zi Yu was appointed the Sword Wielder. Zi Yu was determined to find out the truth. The poisonings in Ladies' Hostel caught Zi Yu's attention. Yun Wei Shan now understood that Shangguan Qian was also a spy, so she revealed her identity to Qian. Wei Shan changed her target the now Sword Wielder, Gong Zi Yu. But first, she had to survive the crisis of being exposed.

Gong Zi Yu let his people search the Ladies' Hostel. But Shangguan Qian and Yun Wei Shan were well prepared. With the appointment of the new Sword Wielder, the bride had to be reselected. Yun Wei Shan became Zi Yu's bride, as she wished. Gong Shang Jue questioned the appointment, as he's suspicious of Gong Zi Yu's lineage. Gong Zi Yu also revealed his doubts about Gong Yuan Zhi.

The result of the investigation was announced. Yun Wei Shan's identity was said to be inaccurate. However, Wei Shan persisted her identity. Gong Zi Yu took this chance to testify against Gong Yuan Zhi in front of the Elders. After discussion, the Elders decided that Gong Zi Yu had to complete the Trial of the Three Realms.

Shangguan Qian told Gong Shang Jue about their crossed past. Though Shang Jue was slightly touched, he still hadn't let go of his doubt. Yun Wei Shan gently took care of Gong Zi Yu. The two grew closer to each other. Zi Yu asked Jin Fan about the Trial, but Jin Fan kept his mouth shut

Jin Fan suspected Yun Wei Shan was related to Wufeng. Wei Shan explained that she was taught by Qingfeng's Zhuo Mei long ago as a return of favor, as well as a request of revenge. Gong Zi Shang and Jin Fan were unable to verify, but they understood that Wei Shan truly wanted to help Zi Yu.

As Yun Wei Shan was about to be attacked. Gong Zi Yu rushed over to claim that Wei Shan was his Green Jade Guardian. Wei Shan also took out the bracelet which Jin Fan gave her, to prove her identiy. Gong Zi Yu hoped to become closer with Yun Wei Shan.

Gong Zi Yu was sick after getting into the Ice Pool. Yun Wei Shan rushed to the clinic to get medicine for Zi Yu.

Gong Zi Yu takes the medicine made by Yun Wei Shan, which helps increase his power. He successfully sneaks into the ice pool and obtains the book.

Gong Ziyu returns after finishing learning the techniques. When he wants to tell the good news to his family, he finds that Mrs. Wu Ji is reluctant to see him, and Yu Weishan gets stuck. Gong Ziyu cannot face the betrayal of Yun Weishan.

Yun Weishan comes to accompany Gong Ziyu, who has a heart to heart talk with her. He thinks the joke makes her shy but he doesn’t know she is being influenced by the Fortnight Flies.

Gong Zi Yu and Yun Wei Shan go to the market together with Gong Zi Shang and Jin Fan. The latter two intentionally create the opportunity for the two of them to get along with each other. Gong Zi Yu decides to rescue Yun Wei Shan. With the help of Xue Chong Zi and others, he successfully takes Wei Shan out. But Gong Yuan Zheng and Gong Shang Jue are both injured. Zi Yu understands that he might be punished by the Elders for breaking the prison; therefore, he starts his third realm's trial right away.

After Wu Ji's death, Yun Wei Shan comforted the painful Gong Zi Yu, and the two expressed their thoughts to each other...

Gong Zi Yu becomes the sword wielder. The elders tell him about the Infinite Heat and the secret of the back hill. At this moment, an explosion occurred in Shang Lineage. Gong Zi Shang suffered a serious injury.

At the ceremony, everyone fights fiercely with Wu Feng, but Wu Feng does not expect this is the trap arranged by Gong Zi Yu, Yun Wei Shan and Gong Shang Jiao.

Jin Fan is brought back along with the Chuyun Chonglian. Gong Zi Yu wants to give it to Jin Fan but is rejected by Zi Shang. Zi Yu expresses that Jin Fan is like family to him and that Jin Fan is just as important as him.

Gong Huan Yu is reluctant to be caught. Finally, Gong Zi Yu and Yun Wei Shan cooperate with each other to defeat Gong Huan Yu. Yun Wei Shan knows her real identity and hopes to return to her hometown. Gong Zi Yu is still waiting for his lover.
