The young gnomes must have their amulet, which symbolizes the transition from child to adult. Tinka and her mother, Nille, are at the ceremony, but when it's Tinka's turn to receive the amulet, it doesn't change color like the others. King Gobbe's son Phileas sees it and wonders. Nille realizes that it is time to tell Tinka the truth about her background. In the human world, Lasse, his father and little sister have moved to the countryside to live with their grandmother. Lasse's father, Mikkel, sees it as a good opportunity to get Lasse away from some bad acquaintances. And a good opportunity to be together more as a family. But all Lasse thinks about is getting back to his friends in town.

Phileas has become suspicious about Tinka and summons Nille to chat. Tinka has persuaded her best friend, Vilma, to show her where one of the old portals is, but she does not dare to tell Vilma her secret. Lasse starts swimming, as Mikkel is sure that it is a good way to make new friends. Lasse misses Copenhagen and does not want to live in the countryside. Astrid is determined to find elves at Søgaard and insists on Christmas cheer in the small family.

Nille discovers Tinka's amulet with the two mirrors in it and asks her to pack it away. But it's too late. Tinka needs to know more about her past, and she heads out to the portal in the forest. Phileas defies his father, King Gobbe, and takes Bjergi to an interrogation about Tinka. Lasse's grandmother tries to encourage him, but he is still not convinced that it is okay to be in the country. He goes for a walk down to the lake, and here he meets a mysterious girl.

Lasse still wonders about the strange girl he saw at the lake and tries to find more information about her. Tinka seeks out King Gobbe to get him to protect her from the hostility she encounters everywhere in the Goblin kingdom. Tinka wants to find the poinsettia and asks Vilma for help. Vilma seems dismissive, so Tinka goes out alone to the portal – and into the humans again. Here, to her great surprise, she discovers that people may not be that dangerous after all.

Tinka is taken up to King Gobbe, who wants to talk to her. Gobbe finds out that Phileas has lied and reassures Tinka, but when she asks about the poinsettia, Gobbe suddenly loses his mind. Tinka is determined to find the poinsettia. She decides that she wants to go back to the human world and get Lasse to help her.

Tinka wants to give Lasse and Astrid a pig in the hope that Lasse will then help her. King Gobbe is not comfortable with Phileas as heir to the throne, and therefore he tries to find an alternative. Phileas overhears that Gobbe wants to replace him, and he becomes worried about his future. Lasse records the family song for Tinka and decides to help her, and Astrid names her new pig Øffert.

Tinka and Lasse go to the gnome kingdom to ask King Gobbe about who stole the poinsettia. But Gobbe has fallen ill, and Phileas has set guards in front of the king's bedroom. Tinka and Lasse manage to cheat their way in and get Gobbe to lend them a drawing of the person who stole the poinsettia. Nille meets Lasse, but she is not completely comfortable with him. Therefore, she follows him into the human world.

Tinka and Lasse are looking for Jos in the drawing. They find a photo that matches him and they now know who the thief is. Tinka finds a real elf hat, which shows that another elf has been in the workshop at Søgaard. They seek out Tuva to find out more, and she has surprising news to tell.

Tinka and Lasse are looking for proof that Storm was in the human world, and they decide that they must return to King Gobbe. They persuade Nille, who is sewing the king's Christmas robe, to help them. Phileas discovers that Nille is visiting and throws her out. King Gobbe tells Phileas that he will not be king, and Phileas becomes angry and makes a fateful decision.

Tinka is now wanted everywhere in the gnomes' kingdom, and therefore she stays with Lasse at Søgaard. However, their search for Storm gets them nowhere. They therefore decide to brave all dangers and go back to the Goblins' kingdom. Maybe Bjergi knows more than he has told? But in addition to providing new information, he also tells something completely different, which will be of crucial importance to Tinka.

Tinka and Lasse have to try to find Storm, and they use all the information they got from Bjergi. They quickly track down one and they decide to go out and visit him. But Lasse's father, Mikkel, has other plans for them – the whole family and Iben are going out to buy a Christmas tree. On the Christmas tree hunt, Lasse loses his mobile phone, and when he finds it again, he discovers something very special. Fileas presses Nille to tell her where Tinka is.

Tinka wants to go out to Falkhøj while Lasse is at school. The plan goes a bit awry, as Mikkel has to go for a run with Iben, and Tinka therefore has to stay at home and look after Astrid. Phileas is getting impatient and interrogates both Bjergi and Nille. Although he knows that Nille misses her daughter, he tries to ingratiate himself with her by giving her a present. Lasse takes Tinka out to Storm's house again, and here they get a surprise they hadn't expected.

Tinka and Lasse are busy, but since they have promised Astrid to stay for her Lucia procession, their plan to go to Falkhøj must be postponed. When they finally get out there, no one is home, but then Lasse gets a good idea. Phileas gets his coronation portrait painted and gets Nille to come up to the castle and assess it. Here Phileas tells disturbing news, which makes her nervous. Nille leaves to warn Tinka in the human world, and here she makes a new acquaintance.

Lasse and Tinka try to decipher the old diary, but the language is far too old-fashioned for them to read. They seek help from Mikkel, but he can't read it either, and they have to go far and wide before they find someone who can help them. Grandma and Astrid have to bake apple slices, and they entice Lasse and Tinka to join, so it develops into an apple slice baking competition. In the kingdom of the goblins, Phileas is worried about whether someone else will come and claim the throne, so he sets about arming and weapons training.

Tinka and Lasse decide to look for the poinsettia themselves. They visit Nille and tell her the surprising news. Phileas finds out that Nille has lied about Tinka. Tuva tells about the time they used the poinsettia at the Tower of Solitude. Lasse and Tinka go out there again to look for new clues, but realize that they can't move forward without the help of a very specific person.

Tinka and Lasse try different ways to get a certain person to remember again. They seek help from both Lasse's grandmother and Nille. At Søgaard, Mikkel and Astrid are building Christmas presents for the whole family. When Nille comes to visit, Mikkel takes the opportunity to invite her to Christmas lunch the following day. While Nille is out, Phileas has snuck into her kitchen to sniff her things.

The trio with Tinka and Lasse at the head goes back to the kingdom of the goblins. However, it is impossible to get around unseen, so Lasse has to use his ingenuity. Mikkel has made Christmas lunch for Nille, but just as Nille is about to leave for Kongsby, she gets an unexpected visit, and suddenly the lunch hangs in the balance. At the same time, Tinka and Lasse take a step further in their search for the poinsettia when they find out what really happened on that fateful night 100 years ago.

Lasse needs to get some diving equipment so he can dive down to the bottom of the crater. Meanwhile, Tinka waits in the forest runner's house and looks at pictures from when she was little. When they are back in the goblin kingdom - on their way to the Tower of Solitude - they are seen by a goblin who gossips to Phileas. Lasse embarks on the most dangerous dive of his life. Back in the human world, Iben serves lunch to Mikkel, who is struggling with his work, and she has surprising news to tell.

Lasse and Tinka are distraught, and they visit Nille to tell her what happened the day before. Nille goes in to calm Mikkel, who is looking for Lasse. Lasse and Tinka seek help from Bjergi, and together they find a solution for what they can do. Phileas has summoned the goblin council to convince it of an important thing.

torm, Lasse and Tinka must go to the goblin council and tell what has happened. Nille wants to go in and say goodbye to Mikkel and give him a present, but here she experiences something that makes her really sad. Skir investigates how the ceremony was performed in the old days, and he finds unexpected information that puts them in a completely new situation.

Tinka has taken Lasse in, and he remembers seeing the wheel somewhere - the only question is, where is it? Phileas and Storm meet for a brotherly toast, but it has fatal consequences. Mikkel finds out that Nille has seen Iben visit him, and he decides to visit Nille. He just doesn't know where she lives. Nille is waiting for Tinka at the portal in the forest and tells Tinka the terrifying news.

Tinka and Lasse are out at the forest runner's house again, but without any results. Along the way, they are discovered by Phileas' guards, and this has serious consequences for them. Phileas is preparing for his coronation, and he has sent for Nille. Phileas knows she has something he seeks. At first she refuses, but then she agrees to share it with him. He goes with Nille to find the missing wheel.

Elves and humans alike are preparing for Christmas and for a very special ceremony to be performed for the first time in many, many years. But it doesn't go as planned.
