Investigator Bjørn arrives at the morgue for an ordinary identification of a young Jane Doe when his world is turned upside down, as the girl turns out to be his own daughter. The Coroner’s verdict is clear - she committed suicide. Bjørn refuses to accept this and a tiny clue propels him into a hunt for the possible murderer.

Bjørn is lead to a luxury apartment where he encounters an unknown young woman. She turns out to be his daughter’s wife. Bjørn unravels a mysterious and criminal life of his deceased daughter, who prostituted herself on the dark web.

Off hours Bjørn arrives at a high-end brothel to find a hooker, who introduced his daughter to prostitution and with whom the daughter enjoyed the dolce vita with fast money and trafficking of drugs to the demanding club life in the city.

Bjørn meets a renowned criminal club owner, whom he knows from the past when they made shady deals. The club owner confronts Bjørn with the fact that the daughter was not the innocent girl that Bjørn remembers. She was not a victim; she was in fact the manager of a blackmarket drug business on the dark web.

The arrow points in the direction of Bjørn's former partner and personal friend in the police. A shady and corrupt cop who has cooked up several lies, but Bjørn knows he met with his daughter on the night of her death. Bjørn cuts through his lies and manages to get the name of the expected spider in the web.

Bjørn interrogates the mysterious mastermind at gun point only to realise that the man was a father figure to his own daughter. Bjørn must face that the life of his daughter’s wild lifestyle, depression and crime was because of Bjørns neglect and absence. Bjørn understands that he himself is guilty of his daughter’s suicide.

Finally convinced the daughter took her own life, a vulnerable and desperate Bjørn meets with his ex-wife to say goodbye to their daughter. Mourning at the casket the investigator Bjørn cannot but help notice a mark on her mouth that indicates a violent action. Facts and people lying to his face all add up and send him madly racing to the Coroner to set matters straight.

Bjørn confronts the Coroner, who perceives him as raving mad. The Coroner calls the chief of Police who is also a friend of Bjørn. After Bjørns initial conspiracy theory falls apart they persuade him to be committed for psychiatric treatment. In a last mad rant Bjørn connect the dots and paints a picture of the events at the night of the murder. His daughter did NOT kill herself and now is the time to act and avenge her death.
